NEWS
06/09/03 So we've not broken up, but are on a hiatus to last at least 8 months, while Chris sits out his term in jail. We wanna thank everyone who came out to our last couple of shows (esp. the Austin House show - that was sick!!!), and the Austin House residents for donating the door to Chris's commesary(sp???). That was most rad... During this hiatus, members will be busy with new projects, including getting our split 7" w/ Shackles Await out. Steve is playing w/ Phantom Pains, and Mykke will be getting hitched, and thrashing it up (bua ha ha...) in Disgorge Bush, with members of Wrath of Beowulf! That's the basics, if anyone would like to write Chris in jail (and he'd be stoked to hear from anyone!), his address is this (and it must be written EXACTLY like this):

Chris Dowden SO#108608
Brazoria County Detention Center
3602 County Road 45
Angleton, TX 77515

So send him literature, positivity, and love. Til next time....smash the stizate, and take care!
04/15/03 hey, whats up! we just got new shirt designs and buttons, they will be available at our upcomin shows and tour, as well as demo's, and whats this i hear? YES, we may actually have the Shackles Await/One Last Chance 7"s ready before tour!!!! its possible, we'll let you know more soon. Also, we found out we are playing w/ From Ashes Rise is San Francisco on either june 14 or 15, not sure which, but it is confirmed, and this is awesome news for us personally, we all love that band. in other news, OLC drummer and drunkard/madman/deli dude, Steve, has a new band on the side! The Phantom Pains are a new horror hardcore/punk band featuring members of My Luck, Your Mistake, and now One Last Chance. and the singer sounds just like the guy from the Nerve Agents! check out their songs here The Phantome Pains songs. they actually play their first show tonite, i'm fixin to head out as we speak. not much else goin on, we are sad to say Mr Denniz Trauma won't be fillin in for Tom Last Chance this summer on tour, so we are looking for someone to learn the songs in a month and go on tour for a month, we have two backups, so we're trying to figure it all out as we speak. other than that, we'll keep ya posted on new shit, man. take care.
-sincerely,
chris last chance,
founder of the OLC Foundation Fighting Destruction and Corporatization of the United States Of Amerikkka

03/18/03 things are looking good on the OLC front, we found out we leave for tour in two months! On the road w/ our good friends Shackles Await from OKC. This is gunna be a month long tour going all over the US, so come see us when we come thru your town. And if rumor is correct we are gunna play w/ Dystopia in San Francisco! Ummm…what else. Oh yeah, the “proposed” Shackles Await/OLC split still isnt out, we need to record. Someday, folks, someday. We are gunna try, I stress TRY, to have it by tour. We still have demo’s and stickers, so email us if you want some, or pick stuff up at our shows. We only have one show booked as of right now, and its in Houston on 3/22/03 w/ World Burns To Death, Inepsy, and Spazm 151. After this show we are gunna take a break from playing for about a month or so, so we can write new material for tour, and hopefully get in the studio and record some new stuff. We have a few new songs we are playing at shows right now, and we will have new shirt designs and buttons very soon. Well, that’s about it for now, till next time, peace yall.

OLD NEWS
01.04.03 OKC was a blast. The bands were all pretty rockin, and Shackles Await just blew us away. They've certainly improved since last I saw them, and they were awesome then, too... We also played the last gig ever at the CAC House the night before, which ended up being with PLF, Die Emporer Die, Burned Out Bright, and a really good touring band, Blue Hour. I picked up one of DED's demos, and they are, of course awesome. Really artsy layout with an obvious Stew touch and the recording is really nice. Burned Out Bright were fkn awesome with their new sound. From what I saw of their set, does remind me of bands like Reversal of Man and the like. Good stuff.... Lotsa kids showed up, and the show was all-around rad. It's sad to see it go, especially for such a stupid reason (from what I hear, a church is demolishing it for a PARKING LOT). Though, fortunately, the Southmore House will begin having shows again, and starting Feb. 2, will have a HARDCORE MATINEE every Sunday afternoon, starting at 2 and ending about 5. Cover will be $3 unless there are touring bands to pay... This is awesome fucking news...if you wanna play or just want info about it, email Stew at xstewxtillxdeathx@aol.com. For OLC though, there is a lot going on. Lotsa shows happening, and we're looking at a few releases coming out soon. We just released our 8-song CDR, "Night of the Working Dead", and is available so far at Rockpile for $4, and will be in Soundwaves and Sound Exchange very soon for around the same price. You can also pick them up at our shows for probably even cheaper.. The split w/ Shackles is seeming a bit more realistic now, and should be out within the next couple of months, at least on CD. We'll also be submitting a couple of tracks to a comp of local thrash/grind/hc bands. More info about that soon. If you're in a band that plays fast and live in the area, email this guy: Richard - disbastard@yahoo.com. There was also talk about releasing a split ep with former Houston grind band, Rapport. Rad, guess we'll see... The four-way split is taking forever, and will hopefully be done before all the bands break up (haha).... All in all, I think the local DIY scene is looking great. There's a lot going on, more kids coming around, lotsa creativity. The next few months at least should prove to be a blast. I'm stoked....
